This research addresses the study of naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) in the Venezuelan oil industry. The selected study area corresponds to two flow stations in the Barinas District. Radiological survey, chemical analysis, and radiochemical treatment of liquid effluents for their chemical and radiochemical characterization are the required analyses to enable proper management of residues from the cleaning of mineral deposits that could affect the flow in pipelines and various equipment.
