Aurum Nature’s Comprehensive Solutions for a Sustainable Future”
Mariluz Murillo
Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Environmental Scientist and Analytical Chemist.
Mariluz Murillo, originally from Venezuela, embarked on her journey in the field of environmental sciences with a strong academic foundation. She pursued a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the Central University of Venezuela, followed by a Master of Science in Sanitary Engineering with a specialization in water quality. This educational background laid the groundwork for her career in environmental research and development, focusing on comprehensive water treatment processes, supply planning, environmental and industrial safety, and renewable energy management.
Her professional journey has taken her through various laboratories and organizations, including HIDROCAPITAL, a prominent hydrological company in Venezuela. During her time there, Mariluz refined her skills in assessing water quality, identifying contaminants, and contributing to public health and conservation initiatives. Her expertise in Microbiological Water testing, Physicochemical analysis, and instrumental analytical techniques has played a crucial role in detecting and mitigating environmental contaminants across diverse sectors. Mariluz’s responsibilities included coordinating sampling, evaluating Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM) in the oil industry for PDVSA-INTEVEP, and providing technical support to oil refineries and Wastewater treatment facilities, significantly improving Water treatment and conservation efforts.
Mariluz’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainability is evident in her work as a teacher, where she shared her knowledge and passion for STEM education with students in secondary schools. Her dedication to inspiring the next generation of professionals in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics reflects her belief in the importance of education in shaping a sustainable future.
Her current experience within an internationally recognized, NELAC/TNI-accredited environmental laboratory includes work with EPA-regulated analytical workflows, quality-control review, environmental data systems, and regulated contaminants. Together with more than two decades of experience spanning drinking water, wastewater, groundwater, industrial and petroleum-related environmental monitoring, organic contaminants, metals, laboratory quality systems, NORM/TENORM assessment, scientific research, and environmental education, this background directly informs the development and implementation of Aurum Nature LLC’s Environmental Risk Intelligence Methodology (E-RIM).
As the Founder and CEO of Aurum Nature LLC, based in Central Florida, Mariluz continues to drive environmental analytical excellence, supporting environmental and water-resource initiatives through technical analysis, environmental monitoring experience, quality systems, and scientific communication. Her leadership, expertise, and dedication to environmental stewardship position her as a valuable technical resource in addressing water quality challenges and promoting sustainable practices for a healthier future.
